During this year's artistic and cinematic Night of the Museums, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw will screen some emblematic works of the creative documentary film genre. The project's main element consists of an outdoor screening of Clio Barnard's famous documentary The Arbor, which will participate in the Festival's Doc Art Award competition. Historical context for the screening of Arbor is provided by the supplementary program, which showcases the most prominent examples of Polish “creative documentary” cinema. The following films will feature in the program: Prekursor (“The Forerunner”) by Tadeusz Królikiewicz (1988), Włókniarka (“The Weaver”) by Wanda Gościmińska (1975) and Sceny narciarskie (Ski Scenes) by Bogdan Dziworski (1980). Starting from 9PM, all films will be screened three times.

The Museum's Nowoczesna (“Modern”) Cafe will be open throughout the Night, offering a special “cinematic” menu and featuring music reminiscent of field recordings (or sound “documentaries”) chosen by the Museum staff.
