Synopsis

The film is dedicated to the philosopher - Merab Mamardaschwili. The master of the documentary, Valery Balayan lined, historic and current filming an interview Russian historians and philosophers from the year 1990. In this way, will witness the almost prophetic insight into the development of Russian society in the last twenty years. The intellectuals Mikhail Geller, Dmitri Sezeman and Merab Mamardaschwili comment pictures of Russia's past and present.

Balayan shows unique footage: the premiere of Abuladze's film Repentance, the discussion on the work of perestroika times in 1987, pictures of public protests of the post-Soviet years and recordings right-wing extremist incidents in December 2010 in Moscow. Merab Mamardaschwili came in 1990 to the conclusion that the Soviet system is not a historical civilization type sunset, "... because what does not live, cannot die." Contrary to all ideologies and myths today as twenty years ago to date: Let the people decide for themselves what is right for them ... "let the people build window."
